In thicknesses of 0.17 mm and 0.30 mm, up to 1800 m (6 x 300 m) in one piece without knots. Top-class braided line, Dyneema with Teflon coating - low stretch - UV-resistant - 12 knots per cm - neutral sinking/floating behavior. •
Surface sealed line for fishing:
👉 Excellent long-distance casting properties and neutral sinking behavior ensure that it neither sinks to the bottom nor floats to the surface. Unobstructed fishing over very long distances. • Because where it is, it stays between the surface and the bottom, keeping it away from flotsam and other bottom obstacles.
Mostly fished with the Shock'it shock leader (0.50 to 0.80mm) • Line capacity for e.g. Ultegra 14000 0.17 mm 700 m and for the 0.30 mm 490 m
The ideal reel spool for lake and river:
approx. 80-90% braided Visible or Invisible Touch
10-20% monofilament 40 (as a stretch component so that the lead a.) does not move in the current (river) and b.) stays in the same place in storms on the lake.
5% 50-60 (in exceptional cases 0.70 0.80) shock leader Shock`it.
In advance:
5000 Daiwa Entoh > exactly 600 m of the 0.17 mm Visible or Invisible Touch + 20-30 meters of 50 mm monofilament shock leader ( SHOCK IT ).
The following capacity for monofilament line is indicated on the spool of the Daiwa Entoh: 0.40mm = 280 m
You can use the Rule of three Now calculate the amount of cord you need:
Example 1:
600 x (40s mono specification on your reel, e.g. 280 ) : 280 = approx. 600 m
Example 2:
600 x (40 mono specification on your reel, e.g. 350 ) : 280 = approx. 750 m
Extra Tip 1:
When spooling, we recommend using a damp cloth with dish soap to remove any manufacturing-related materials/residues from the surface seal. This ensures the line has minimal surface tension from the start, which prevents any line that lies loosely on the surface from sinking.
Extra tip:
After removing the assembly from the dinghy:
A return trip with a rod submerged up to 50cm in the water,
provides additional safety even at long distances
to protect water sports enthusiasts.
Its neutral sinking behavior ensures that it neither sinks further nor rises to the surface.
