Invisible Touch 0.17 mm – gray braided carp line
The Invisible Touch 0.17 mm is our subtly gray braided main line for carp anglers looking for an inconspicuous line with very low stretch and excellent performance at long range.
The combination of a 0.17 mm diameter, high-quality high-performance PE fiber, and a sealed surface allows for high line capacity, long casts, and direct contact with the rig.

Why Invisible Touch?
The gray coloring of the Invisible Touch is deliberately kept subtle. It is the alternative to the eye-catching yellow Visible Touch for anglers who prefer a line that is as inconspicuous as possible.
Especially when fishing at long range, the 0.17 mm version combines high line capacity with the advantages of a braided main line: very low stretch, direct contact with the rig, and an immediate feel for what is happening at the other end of the line.

Neutral sinking behavior at long range
The Invisible Touch is not a classic heavy sinking line. It does not sink permanently to the bottom of the water body, nor does it permanently float on the water surface.
This neutral sinking or hovering behavior is particularly interesting when fishing at long distances. The line stays between the surface and the lake bed, allowing it to better avoid bottom obstacles as well as floating debris on the surface.

Recommended combination with Shock’it
We often fish the Invisible Touch in combination with our Shock’it mono shock leader .
Depending on the water and the obstacle situation, we use 0.50 mm, 0.60 mm, or 0.70 mm. The monofilament shock leader provides additional abrasion resistance and reserves in the particularly stressed front section of the line system.
How much Invisible Touch 0.17 mm fits on my reel?
Example Shimano Ultegra 14000:
approx. 700 m Invisible Touch 0.17 mm.
Practical example Daiwa Entoh 5000:
approx. 600 m Invisible Touch 0.17 mm plus approx. 20–30 m of Shock’it mono shock leader.
The actual amount of line required depends on the reel model, the backing, and the desired spool fill level.
Visible Touch or Invisible Touch?
Technically, both lines follow the same concept. The essential difference is the color: The Visible Touch is particularly visible due to its yellow color, while the Invisible Touch is deliberately kept much more subtle with its gray color.
Practical tips
When spooling for the first time:
We recommend running the line through a slightly damp cloth with a little dish soap while spooling. This removes production-related residue from the surface sealing and reduces initial surface tension.
When placing rigs with an inflatable boat:
When driving back, the rod tip can be submerged about 30–50 cm into the water. This allows the line to be placed deeper into the water while driving back, providing better protection against boat traffic and water sports enthusiasts, especially at long distances.
