Snaggy Water 0.30 mm – braided carp line for demanding use
The Snaggy Water 0.30 mm is designed for carp anglers who need significantly more reserves. Obstacle-rich waters, weed, mussel beds, rocks, or very long distances are exactly the situations this braided main line was developed for.
With a diameter of 0.30 mm and a breaking strain of around 21 kg, it offers enormous safety margins without sacrificing the running characteristics and neutral behavior in the water typical of our braided lines.
The Snaggy Water 0.30 mm is currently in new production. Estimated delivery is end of December 2026. Pre-orders are already possible at the currently displayed price.

For obstacles, weed, and long distances
Especially in difficult waters, the main line is a decisive part of the entire set-up. Due to its larger diameter and high abrasion resistance, the Snaggy Water 0.30 mm offers significantly more reserves when mussels, rocks, weeds, or other obstacles come into play.

Why neutral sinking behavior?
The Snaggy Water is not a classic heavy sinking line. It does not sink permanently to the bottom of the water, nor does it float permanently on the surface.
Especially when fishing over long distances, this neutral behavior can be a decisive advantage. The line remains between the surface and the bottom, allowing it to better avoid bottom obstacles as well as floating debris on the surface.
Recommended combination with Shock’it
Especially in obstacle-rich waters, we often combine the Snaggy Water with our Shock’it mono shock leader .
Depending on the water and obstacle situation, 0.50 mm, 0.60 mm, or 0.70 mm are used. This provides the front line system with additional reserves when it runs over mussels, rocks, or other hard structures.
How much Snaggy Water 0.30 mm fits on my reel?
Example Shimano Ultegra 14000:
approx. 490 m Snaggy Water 0.30 mm.
The actual amount required naturally depends on the specific reel model, the backing used, and how full the spool is wound.
Practical tips
During the first spooling:
We recommend running the line through a slightly damp cloth with a little dish soap while spooling. This removes production-related residues of the surface sealant and reduces initial surface tension.
When laying out with a dinghy:
When driving back, the rod tip can be submerged about 30–50 cm into the water. This allows the line to be placed deeper into the water while driving back, providing better protection against boat traffic and water sports enthusiasts, especially over long distances.
