3 lb – when feel and control are paramount

The 3 lb version perfectly demonstrates what the Temptation TEN is all about: a 10 ft rod does not have to feel stiff or blunt. The sensitive tip works cleanly with the fish, while the blank builds increasing power under load.

The short TEN plays to its advantages especially from the boat, while stalking or in tighter fishing spots. A shorter rod length means, above all, immediate handling, quick reaction and direct control over the fish.

Made for the boat: 10 ft can also be handled excellently in tight spaces.

3.5 lb – the golden mean

Anyone looking for a TEN that will suit as many situations as possible will very quickly end up with the 3.5 lb. It combines the sensitive, progressive Temptation action with noticeably more power in the lower blank.

This makes it equally suitable for large reels as well as heavier line, and it feels at home both on the lake and on the river. A rod for anglers who want reserve without having to compromise on feedback and fight feel.

3.5 lb Nice'n Slim with GripX: slim build, Woven Carbon (K-Cloth) class 1.5 and 3 and a very direct feel.

4 lb – when maximum power is required

The 4 lb TEN is no broomstick. The typical progressive action of the series is also retained here. However, under heavier load, significantly more power comes from the blank.

This makes it interesting for strong currents, heavy rigs, obstacles, big fish and situations where you want to deliberately increase the pressure.

Here with Janos, it makes short work of 340 g on a hard cast.

The TEN is not simply a shortened long carp rod. Material thickness, action and build have been tailored to the compact 10 ft concept.

Characteristic of the Temptation series is the transition from coarser to finer carbon structure from the fourth ring. In the tip section, it provides sensitivity and feedback; further down, the blank builds its power reserves.

Why 10 ft at all?

Short carp rods are no longer used exclusively for stalking. Especially from the boat, at overgrown banks, in small fishing spots or when deploying rigs from the boat, the compact format is particularly pleasant.

At the same time, the TEN is not purely a close-range rod. A clean caster can reach considerable distances with a three-meter rod length. Therefore, it is less about pure length and more about the combination of blank, action, guides and personal application area.
