product description

Hook Grease - Pinpoint-Hooks
The hook grease from Pin-Point Hooks is a special fat which can be used to seal the hook point after it has been sharpened. Working with a chemist Marc Voosen was able to develope this product to meet his needs. The product has the same quality as a food item and is free of perfumes and other agressive chemical agents. The viscosity has been perfectly matched for its use. It is soft enough to form to the structure of the hook but also stands up long enough for hours under the water and still provides protection. In this way the chance of rust forming on the sharpened metal point is greatly reduced.
The contents of this container are enough for 200 hooks!
Simply place a small amount between your thumb and pointing finger and carefully spread it around the sharp hook point.

Max Nollert’s hook graveyard:
„Since the middle of the 90’s I changed my hooks out on a daily basis and collected them for over 15 years in a box.  Julian Jurkewitz knows the box and I remember his smile when he saw it for the first time!  Someday these can be sharpened up was what I told him. I am not sure exactly when,  but sometime a few years ago during a thourough clean up action in the office they found there way into the trash. With this set I am sure that I could have produced many razor sharp hooks...“
